Spread your wings like Bella Hadid on the Marc Jacobs S/S 18 catwalk
It’s rare that a single beauty trend can tick so many boxes, but I’ve got just the thing. An excellent look for tonight’s festivities, it’s also suitably wintry for the month ahead and has featured on endless S/S 18 catwalks so it will transition nicely into spring.
The object of my desire is the strong, black graphic eye seen here, there and everywhere at Fashion Week. The key to looking great, and not grungy, is to contrast your matt black winged eyes with super-glowing skin.

Counterbalance the grunge with glowing skin as seen on Julien Macdonald runway
For the former, line your lash lines and water line with Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer (£20, ) to create grip. Then top it with Marc Jacobs Magic Marc’er Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Blacquer (£23, ) to lock it in place – just as they did at the designer’s show.
Maybelline Master Strobing Stick (£7.99, ) adds the requisite and counterbalancing glow seen at Julien Macdonald.
Finally, what we learned from the Versace catwalk is that to keep your look cool, only a nude lip will do. Try the YSL Beauty Rouge Volupté Shine lipstick in Coral Intuitive (£28, ) to start ticking those boxes.

Is it me or does one always look more tired in January? Ideal for the month of under-eye baggage is BareMinerals Ageless Genius Firming & Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream (£36, ). It reduces puffiness and gives the skin a softer feel – all the while making it appear firmer.

This week we’re…glugging Biomystic Slim Tea (£27.95, ) – a natural brew of elderflower, fennel and peppermint leaves. We can’t promise that it’ll rectify Christmas overload, but we can assure you it tastes delicious.

The New Year is as good a time as any to hit ‘refresh’ on your scent wardrobe. To begin 2018 with a splash, Miller Harris has collaborated with French perfumer Bertrand Duchaufor to launch Tender (£120, ).
Miller Harris Tender (£120, )
Available from 18 January, the unusual blend of pink pepper, black tulip, peony, saffron and sandalwood is inspired by a passage from F Scott Fitzgerald’s 1934 novel Tender is the Night: ‘She walked on, between kaleidoscopic peonies massed in pink clouds, black and brown tulips and fragile mauve stemmed roses…’
