If you’ve been feeling bad about how lazy you’re getting lately, this news story is not going to help. A 9 year old girl from Austin, Texas just landed a US$1 million dollar contract with Whole Food’s grocery stores across the U.S. Not only this, but the child entrepreneur has created her very own lemonade business using an old recipe and some new inspiration. After getting stung by a bee, twice, 9 year old Mikaila developed a fascination with the sometimes annoying little creatures. Her great grandmother had just sent her a 70 year old flaxseed lemonade recipe which she really wanted to try and make. Taking inspiration from bees and their delicious honey, she created her own twist on the lemonade and Bee Sweet Lemonade was born.

How did a 9-year old girl beat out the conglomerate giants such as Kraft, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Procter & Gamble to land coveted shelf space and a million dollar contract with Whole Foods?

Her precocious response? “I don’t know? Do they make theirs with love?”

And if that wasn’t enough now Mikaila is leading workshops and other helpful classes to inspire other kids to get up and create something of their very own. If you haven’t picked up on it already, Mikaila is heading on to be a very successful girl with has large dreams for her now established lemonade company.
